Linn, I exchanged emails with ANOTHER acquaintance that I knew while at Bentwaters. This time it was the only British civilian gal that I knew while I was there!  Thanks again, keep up the great work on this wonderful website!

Mr Barringer
I just wanted to let you know how nice it is to visit the website and find out about the current situation there and all the information available. I wanted to thank you for all the great work you have done. Since going online this past spring and I have visited it often and have enjoyed reading the guest book entries.
I was able to email one individual who was there same time as me and put her in touch with someone she was looking for, all because of the guest book.
Again, thank you very much for the work you have done.

Subject: Hello Major Ken
I just read your posting on Linn Barringer's Bentwaters guestbook.  Your name rings a bell. Seems to me that you may have been in the 81st EMS at one time.  Help me out.  Don't know if you remember me or not, MSgt Ron Burrell, AGE Branch. I retired at Bentwaters in May 1986. Ready to retire from the post office. Ready to start collecting Social Security. Now I am ready to go out and get a REAL Job.  When I'm not hanging around the post office, I like to spend time at my place on Maui.  I always wanted to be a beach bum.  I am still working on it.

Yup, that is me.  Was super for EMS from Nov 82 until Nov 85.  Went to the maintenance control until I retired in August 89.  Have you seen or know what happened to Chief Mccleod?  I last saw him at Moody in the early 90's.  Having trouble remembering who else was in AGE at that time.  The mind is the first thing to go.
Ken

Dear Sir
Just to let you know that your site is working. I have found my friends. I received an email two weeks ago on Sunday morning, from Anthony Lockwood of Ipswich, England, that he was neighbors to Barrie and Christine Hastings of Ipswich. I have been looking for them for 32 years. I have called them and emailed them and will be going to see them next year.
Thanks for your site.

It has taken 4 years for anyone I knew to respond, but just the other day and old friend sent me an e-mail out of the blue. His mother was looking at the site and saw that I was looking for some of my old frineds and she saw his name and passed along my e-mail address.
My sister and I were thrilled to hear from him again and we plan to get to know each other all over again.
Thanks so much for this web site.
It truly is a blessing to all of us.
