Art Waters contacted me via email after exchanging emails with Shirley Simmons in Georgia. They got to talking about Bentwaters era 1962 and my name entered the conversation. Well Shirley had my email address from a couple years ago so she gave it to Art. He contacted me via email, I replied, and to make a long story short (that ain't never going to happen) we had a three hour telephone conversation.
Art was at our wedding nearly 45 years ago.
All of this was possible due to your website at http://TwinBases.org.
Thanks again for all that you have done for the former members of the 81st Wing and others who have tried to contact old buddies and even track down American fathers. You have brought a lot of happiness to a lot of people.
What is funny is that Shirley worked with my sister-in-law Veronica Ling and Phyllis Pearse at the Bentwaters NCO Club. Both Veronica and Phyllis live within a days drive of our home in Colorado. Art is also now in touch with several others that he worked with at Bentwaters AGE Shop.
