Up to supervision as Avenger for a while before I called it a day and traded my BDU's for permanent levis.. Could any of you believe such a wonderful place would ever close?? I guess we should have known with all the money Uncle Sugar was pouring into it. I have not been back as I've been told it would break my heart, one day I'll have to go. After 7 years in the Phase docks I went out to the flight line in the 510th TFS as a crew chief. Bentwaters was the best assignment of my Air Force career and the best 8 years of my life.

The Air Field manager and I shared a floor level office in the Control Tower! We were privileged to have the administration support of a delightful lady named Anne! My father was stationed about 30 miles way...almost 50 years before during W.W.II. I was able to travel to his base and see where he served! England...great people...a great time...great memories!
