Message: Hey to anyone from those years. I am back home in Illinois. I went on from Bentwaters to Aviano, Italy. I married another airman and lived at Edwards AFB, CA. I have since moved back to Illinois and am going to school. I am now married to a great guy, a farmer. I am saddened at our attempts to peacefully protest Iraq. I proudly support our men and women who are risking their lives for our freedoms.
The only person I keep incontact with from RAF BW is Eileen (Bourgeois) Blanchard. She was my roommate and best friend in England, although it took us a lot to get to that point.
If anyone knows Fred and Angie Chilvers or their whereabouts, please contact me. They were an older couple who took over DJing "country night" in the Rec Center as the base was closing. Many fond memories of England. My kids and I are saving up our money to go back and visit all of the places I visited. I can't wait.

Message: Bentwaters was the honeymoon we didn't get - shortly after our wedding in 1990 we had orders to UK. Event hough we were young and broke, we have such wonderful memories! We lived in Trimley St Martin and Grundisburgh. Our favorite pub was The Dog - every chance we got we were out driving around. I still have my GSD, Jake - he's 12 years old now, but I know if he could talk he'd have an accent! These photos bring back so many memories, yet it makes me quite sad to see that we're gone from what was a wonderful area! I would love to return for a visit, and now that the pet quarantine is lifted, we might. So many wonderful friendships were made there and we personally did lots of emotional growing up! Thank you for such a wonderful website! I will pass along to any of my friends who might be interested!
