Plaque presented to Iken Church by 81st FWA
At the 2003 Annual Reunion of the 81st Fighter Wing Association, in Dayton Ohio, it was decided to present a plaque to Iken Church. The plaque will be a reminder of the friendship shown towards the visiting USAF, and will be displayed in the church that was a helpful landmark for many pilots returning to RAF Bentwaters.

The presentation party arrive at St. Botolph's Church, Iken at 11:30 gmt on 25 November 2003. After several days of persistent rain, the day was rain-free but with a very cold wind. Because of lighting considerations, it was decided to hold the presentation outside the south entrance porch. |
