London's Liverpool Street Station

London's Liverpool Street Station, with the diesel loco, the much older guard's van and tankers on the right, the railway porters, the small boy's school cap and short-trousered 'suit' the girls Sunday best coat and school hat...

The early 1960s, the days when these Diesel locomotives (D200 and D5000 class) were new and it was still British Railways.

This is only one photo but there is SO MUCH nostalgia in it, particularly for Brits: specifically, the diesel loco, the much older guard's van and tankers on the right, the railway porters, the small boy's school cap and short-trousered 'suit' the girls Sunday best coat and school hat...

I used to travel to work in "the City" for years in the 1960s, arriving at Liverpool Street station.
